Music Associates is a group of community members who pool their financial resources into a single fund benefiting students of the School of Music. Enhancing the opportunities for music students at WSU is the sole purpose of Music Associates. None of the projects we support are funded by state or municipal allocations, so without private funding, they simply would not occur. Music Associates members enjoy knowing that their dollars are supporting quality education and cultural opportunities for deserving WSU School of Music students.
Since 1993, Music Associates has had more than 900 members who have provided nearly $900,000 to underwrite opportunities for Wichita State University's School of Music students.
Support is critical, because it funds:
- Undergraduate scholarships and graduate assistantships for talented music students
- Student and faculty opportunities for applied learning experiences at worldwide conferences, workshops and performances
- Renowned concert artists and teachers conducting Wichita State University master classes
