Peer-to-Peer Mentors
Help Us Keep More Students on the Path to Graduation A key factor in student success is a sense of belonging. Without it, too many students leave before completing their first year. Our plan is simple but powerful: match experienced sophomores and juniors with incoming first-year and transfer students to guide them socially, academically, and emotionally through their critical first months. By intentionally designing this program to meet the needs of both mentees and mentors, we create lasting connections that boost persistence and retention. This investment will foster belonging, empower students, and close the gap between enrollment and graduation. Together, we can ensure more students find their place, thrive, and finish strong.
Summer Advantage Program
Invest in futures: Help us launch Summer Advantage Program The College of Fine Arts is launching the Summer Advantage Program, a nationally recognized initiative that boosts student persistence and graduation rates. This program gives students—especially first-generation, low-income, and peer-mentoring participants—the academic, professional, and personal tools they need to stay on track for graduation. Through tuition assistance for up to three summer credits, targeted engagement activities like career coaching and financial wellness workshops, and strong peer support, we will bridge the critical first-to-second-year gap by removing barriers to timely degree completion. Your support will directly empower students to maintain momentum toward graduation, gain career readiness skills, and strengthen their sense of belonging—transforming summer into a season of opportunity rather than setback.
