Model United Nations

Students have been winning awards and making great memories in WSU's Model UN program for over 60 years. Through Model UN, WSU students learn about the UN, its role in world affairs, and the transformative power of diplomacy. Students take on the role of diplomats and practice critical skills, like consensus-building, collaboration, teamwork, critical thinking, research and writing, and public speaking. The program supports annual student travel and participation for American Model UN in Chicago, IL and National Model UN in New York, NY. It also hosts the Great Plains Model UN collegiate conference and the Wichita Area Model UN high school conference on WSU's campus.
