The Fairy Godmothers is a group of women who discovered each other through service to Wichita State University, who enjoy each other’s company and whose strong preference is to support students at WSU without a great deal of formality. Each member has the means to regularly contribute a small amount to help students pursue their dreams. Together, we want to empower students by providing short-term financial assistance during the school year. Our mission is to preferably award scholarships to deserving students of character who have demonstrated academic excellence and have a strong desire to make a significant contribution to their community in the future. Through these scholarships, we attempt to pay it forward by reaching out to students and carrying them through during times of urgent need. Our hope is that these gifts will help to keep them in school, take care of family members, or in some other way, tide them through a challenging time as they continue their studies.
Two (2) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually to students enrolled full or part time at Wichita State University.
