Disability Support Services Scholarship Fund

Disability Support Services is a federally funded program dedicated to ensuring that undergraduate students with learning, physical, or psychological disabilities have the support they need to thrive at Wichita State University. Many of these students are also first generation or limited income scholars who face additional barriers on their path to a degree. Our mission is simple and urgent: to provide the academic guidance, resources, and individualized services that empower students to persist, succeed, and graduate. Students with disabilities often shoulder financial burdens far beyond typical educational and living expenses. Many must manage costs that can quickly become overwhelming. These financial pressures have, in too many cases, forced students to reduce their course loads, withdraw from classes, or leave the university altogether.
