The Audio Engineering Society (AES) is a professional international organization dedicated to uniting audio engineers, creative artists, scientists, and students by promoting the growth, knowledge, and appreciation of the science and art of audio. As an official section of AES at WSU, and Wichita’s only official AES chapter, we are devoted to representing and connecting creatives interested in all areas of sound production across the WSU campus and the overall Wichita community. Our section encourages the career development of Wichita students pursuing the fields of music production, recording, mixing, mastering, live sound, sound design for film and other media, etc. professionally, as well as acting as a safe space for students of all majors and levels to connect over their shared love of audio. From sending students to national/regional conventions, giving students real-world applied sound gig experiences, and expanding knowledge and connections through workshops/guest speakers, these funds will go entirely to supporting students in this field.
