The Bangladesh Student Association (BSA) is the only Recognized Student Organization (RSO) proudly representing Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi community within Shocker Nation. Our mission is to promote the richness of Bengali culture, heritage, and traditions, celebrate the beauty of diversity on campus, and create a welcoming community where Bangladeshi students and alumni can connect, grow, and succeed in their academic, professional, and personal lives. For Bangladeshi students arriving at Wichita State University, we strive to create a home thousands of miles away from home. We support newcomers throughout their transition by helping with airport pickup, off-campus housing, initial meals, grocery runs, and other essential needs as they settle into their new lives in Wichita. Beyond helping students get settled, BSA builds a strong and supportive community through cultural celebrations, social gatherings, sports, educational programs, and professional networking opportunities. We celebrate our heritage while building friendships and connections across the diverse Shocker community. Most importantly, BSA is more than a student organization. We are a family. We support one another, celebrate together, stand beside each other during difficult times, and work together to ensure that every Bangladeshi Shocker feels welcomed, valued, and connected. Thousands of miles from Bangladesh, we make Wichita feel a little more like home.
