Since 1896, The Sunflower has provided applied learning opportunities for students and a forum for student voices. Now the staff is more than 40 students strong and has earned eight national Pacemakers since 2021. Seven of the last 10 Kansas College Journalists of the Year have been Sunflower editors. Student fees allocations to The Sunflower have been flat for 20 years and print advertising has declined. We have trimmed the budget, but to continue to have the professional development opportunities that have helped us get to where we are, we need your help.
